The recent John Key video (original link) caused quite a stir among the New Zealand political circuit and was in the running to be one of my most highly viewed videos ever with over 6000 views in just 6 days, It seemed strangely biblical that on the 7th day my YouTube channel was put to rest. It appears as though many were unhappy with the video and reported it to YouTube, This alone was seemingly enough to have my entire account with 3.5 million hits, 16,000 subscribers and 3000 videos deleted permanently without warning!
This is extremely unfair & has caused me a lot of stress because my videos comprise my life's work of public service, it feels like waking up to find one of my kidneys is missing. I alone created New Zealand's largest online archive of protests & public meetings in history, including thousands of interviews with international guests, In many cases The Vinny Eastwood Show is the first and sometimes only public platform that many Kiwi activists have ever appeared on, comprising the most diverse range of topics & information to rival any news provider in the country or the world for that matter. The in depth, humorous and empathetic interview style I have is specifically to make guests feel comfortable, As they are often persecuted, set up, demonized, tortured, kidnapped, incarcerated, sued or abused for revealing damaging information about corruption, or mind blowing testimony that flies in the face of the common scientific, political & psychological assumptions on which we base our lives. I provided many of these people the encouragement to open up & tell their story for the first time, In some cases gave them the strength to continue their activism when on the verge of giving up, Or live on instead of committing suicide. I've inspired & often assisted people across the globe to start their own YouTube channels and radio shows so that they may help amplify the voices of those within their communities without me doing it for them. My loyal audience has supported me the whole time with words of encouragement, food, equipment and donations, without which I would not have been able to do anything of this value for my nation or its people. You don't have to agree with/believe everything myself or my guests say (I certainly don't) but please support me and the work I do anyway, one day you might be the one in need of a sympathetic ear when no one else believes you, one day you might be the one in need of a public platform that allows you the necessary time to tell your full story the way you want to tell it. Please re-instate Vinny's Youtube account. He has worked tirelessly to provide a platform for those who the mainstream media ignore. He also produces investigative pieces, like the one that is allegedly the reason for his entire channel being removed without notice. It is rather telling to the many of us who view/listen to Vinny's material, that an entire catalog of damaging revelations has been removed from the public eye for no given reason. Just put it back. Youtube told me my court evidence that I had shot myself was somehow copyrighted by some unknown entity and one or two other videos are still flagged.. So give it too them.

Shutting down Vinnie Eastwoods account is an excessive draconian effort to suppress dissent and shows how democracy in New Zealand is a sham! I think we should stop using you tube as there are other viable and free alternatives such as Vimeo, Dailymotion, ZippCast and Metacafe. Do the right thing and allow freedom of speech or sink without trace as the world awakens to the truth!

I am extremely concerned about the fact that this Blogger/YouTube member has had his ENTIRE YouTube account removed for voicing his opinion about a political leader. I could have understood this rather drastic approach had he been inciting violence or encouraging people to break the law, but I watched the entire thing before it was removed and at NO TIME did he do any of this. There was no nudity either. So can someone from #YouTube please come back to us and let us all know why his entire account was removed? Last time I looked we lived in a democracy and not a dictatorship?!

Vinny is a true friend, he has been there for me in some of my darkest hours. I would trust him with my life. Everyone should know that he would stick up for you if you were in the situation he is now in with his channel being deleted. If you have ever enjoyed so much as 5 minutes of his show, you owe it to him to take 5 minutes of your time to write Youtube over this. I do hope you get your old channel back I miss the 2 hour interviews already. Even if you don't like you said in an interview once before (that I ironically viewed first thing the morning your channel was taken down on another channel) was just how fast the new content builds up after you've lost all your old stuff. This is fairly typical of YouTube. Yours is not the first, nor will it be the last unjust censorship by YouTube, Vinnie. The upside is, you know you are striking a chord with TPB that they don't like, which means carry on what you're doing, your support is strong and growing stronger. Oh, and to YouTube, reinstate Vinnie's account, there is no justification for deleting it. Time to look for alternatives.

speaking of outrage.... its amazing when real truth is spoken how quickly the hammer comes down! in wellington back around 2003 a wealthy donor published a free newspaper called "Outrage" and the first edition was handed out around parliament and down town with the second edition to be in all major magazine shops the next week.. the front page was all about 911 been an inside job. A few days later the website dissapeared, the ph number listed in the mag went dead and the second edition never made it to print.. it was swiftly and quickly totally shut down... never to be seen again and that was 10 years ago. ive also had my youtube videos tampered with.. my expose of the coca cola representative sent to nz to sell to the public aspartame on a paid for "news item" on tvnz was suppressed on youtube and search engines so that very few people have viewed it.. suppression and corruption is very alive and well and the control of tv media in nz by the nzcia is complete. they in fact use a cia controlled pr company to script the entire tv1 and tv3 news shows every day to steer public opinion and write our news to suit their agenda which is very pro Key who has always been one of their donkeys. John Key is CIA through and through. Period. thats how he got in and thats why the news execs not so subtley push him always. He has used the sas in nz to order the murder of nzers who know too much about him at least 3 times since been in the power seat.. he is way more dangerous than the vast majority can fathom. Youtube will not budge. its completely controlled and its a corporation so no one can be directly contacted to appeal to.. so id suggest switching to a more open video hosting company.. forget youtube they utterly suck!

Taking down Vinny's youtube channel is ludicrous. One of the key (so to speak) promotional tools at youtube's inception in 2005 was that it provided a forum to everyone who wanted to convey their message there. The upside to this situation is that Vinny's message obviously had value and truth behind it as had someone not been threatened by it, his channel would not have been deleted. Keep up the good work, Vinny!

Vinnie Eastwood has been providing a vital service to the public of New Zealand. There are many important political events that happen around the country that don't even get a mention on our main stream news. Vinnie's You Tube channel provides the public with a very necessary independant journalistic perspective. I value the stories that He presents and consider him to be fullfilling a very necessary role in offering a more truthfull story than the one that I tend to hear over the national television and radio airwaves. I am appalled to learn that his entire youtube channel www.youtube.com/mrnewsguerillamedia was completely shut down without any warning. This is criminal and I demand that this educational public service be reinstated immediately.

This is only the beginning of th censorship. I have been noticing that vids in my folders are being deleted by youtube for no reasons these days. Once they would have said it was copy right issues or whatever. Also they would allow you to see what it was they deleted but now the title goes as well.
