 Vinny holding $6000 Cash that a listener loaned to him interest free for the purchase of a powerful new computer For years I've avoided many things due to my belief that they would delay, compromise or incur costs to my alternative media operation,
-Chasing advertisers, because after several years of direct customer selling and getting disillusioned by my whole work life it left a kink in my personality, makes it extremely hard for me to pick up a phone and call someone to ask for money or make a business deal. -Stayed away from endlessly repeating "Donate to me" on my radio show and youtube videos for much the same reason, I prefer to simply provide content, laughter and fun for my audience without putting my hand out too much. -Finding people who are willing to help me, because most who have offered to do so have been unreliable, quit at the first sight of difficulty or were a complete waste of time to train and actually caused delays that wouldn't have happened if I just did all the work myself. (with the exception of 2 people who are so talented that I can't really put it into words, yes I'm talking about you Roy and Christianne!) -Tend to stay at home and do interviews online rather than driving to locations and meeting people in person. -Never rented a separate space for my media operation. -Don't give donations of monetary value to people/organisations/charities I support, instead I give them time on my radio show if they want it. These tactics have served me well up till now while I've been running a small ship, However, in order to grow and expand and all this must change and unfortunately due to my avoidance of dealing with these areas for such a long time it's left me with a massive workload and a huge learning curve to undertake at the same time. So, I'm now ready and willing to ask for and accept peoples help, but there have to be conditions similar to the motivation I have for myself to ascertain whether you are committed or just flippantly throwing your hat in the ring. The recent John Key video (original link) caused quite a stir among the New Zealand political circuit and was in the running to be one of my most highly viewed videos ever with over 6000 views in just 6 days, It seemed strangely biblical that on the 7th day my YouTube channel was put to rest. It appears as though many were unhappy with the video and reported it to YouTube, This alone was seemingly enough to have my entire account with 3.5 million hits, 16,000 subscribers and 3000 videos deleted permanently without warning!
This is extremely unfair & has caused me a lot of stress because my videos comprise my life's work of public service, it feels like waking up to find one of my kidneys is missing. I alone created New Zealand's largest online archive of protests & public meetings in history, including thousands of interviews with international guests, In many cases The Vinny Eastwood Show is the first and sometimes only public platform that many Kiwi activists have ever appeared on, comprising the most diverse range of topics & information to rival any news provider in the country or the world for that matter. The in depth, humorous and empathetic interview style I have is specifically to make guests feel comfortable, As they are often persecuted, set up, demonized, tortured, kidnapped, incarcerated, sued or abused for revealing damaging information about corruption, or mind blowing testimony that flies in the face of the common scientific, political & psychological assumptions on which we base our lives. I provided many of these people the encouragement to open up & tell their story for the first time, In some cases gave them the strength to continue their activism when on the verge of giving up, Or live on instead of committing suicide. I've inspired & often assisted people across the globe to start their own YouTube channels and radio shows so that they may help amplify the voices of those within their communities without me doing it for them. My loyal audience has supported me the whole time with words of encouragement, food, equipment and donations, without which I would not have been able to do anything of this value for my nation or its people. You don't have to agree with/believe everything myself or my guests say (I certainly don't) but please support me and the work I do anyway, one day you might be the one in need of a sympathetic ear when no one else believes you, one day you might be the one in need of a public platform that allows you the necessary time to tell your full story the way you want to tell it. 1 the reason for my channel being deleted was unspecified, spam, gaming, misleading content, 2 the video that was flagged and caused it all was about John Key's past 3 I have all my videos backed up on external hard drives, but would take about 6 months to upload 3000 videos again. 4 YouTube alternatives aren't really alternatives if they don't have the same reach or upload bandwidth and unlimited free upload capacity 5 I have a backup channel http://www.youtube.com/eastwoodvincent and many have mistakenly seen this one and thought that my channel has been restored. 6 This is my deleted youtube channel address http://www.youtube.com/mrnewsguerillamedia 7 If you want to help it be restored then please email this address and politely ask YouTube to restore my channel and why.
