Kim Dotcom's Moment Of Truth A MASSIVE SUCCESS!
I have 2 sets of feelings about it,
Firstly extremely positive and empowered,
Especially to see Snowden and Assange weighing in on our New Zealand situation and explaining the extreme risk of mass surveillance and the terrifying extent to which it has ALREADY BEEN IMPLEMENTED
The TPPA, it's sweeping big business powers & secrecy was exposed BIG TIME.
Plus Kim's Mega chat conferencing software was a nice and practical touch.
I set up my studio to record the live stream and audio separately and currently importing the footage to put this important event on youtube. www.youtube.com/eastwoodvincent
This is what should be taken away from the meeting.
The second feeling I had is simply a personal bitchy emotional response.
Myself and many other respected colleagues in New Zealand have been covering ALL these issues for a number of years, at greater length, in greater detail and in greater frequency, we've been labelled conspiracy theorists, tin foil hat wearers, right & left wing extremists, terrorists, nutters & we're told repeatedly to get a job.
Because we report what's really happening WITHOUT omitting phrases like "Global Government" and "New World Order" as I could see every single speaker perfectly describe and yet carefully avoid mentioning.
Even though I've published more protests and public meetings online than anyone in New Zealand,
Even though I had several highly viewed videos of Kim Dotcom and many other kiwis worth listening to,
I didn't get a fancy red media badge, VIP pass or even an invite, I had to deliberately search for it on Facebook, not even the opportunity to come and bring my own cameras to record the event with the no bags rule.
In watching the live stream seeing familiar media people sit there, look bored and barely look up when compelling evidence was being presented, it made me feel sick with a gall stone of pure rage and disappointment.
They might just give you a moment of truth, but myself and others have already given you a lifetimes worth.
