Most people who listen to The Vinny Eastwood Show show and watch my videos on youtube have no idea that I'm also a singer/song writer. 
I operate under the belief that all forms of entertainment when practiced properly can have a profound effect on peoples lives, making them cry, sing along, laugh or simply feel joy and revitalize their lust for life.
It is common knowledge that the music business is a business and fuck all to do with the music, 
So, the way I see it, this industry needs to be counteracted, 
But, because of the sheer volume of money they control, 
The infinite whores and sell outs available for them to exploit,
Creating a new industry to replace it must be done using the exact opposite play books.
We can't do big labels with overbearing producers who sap the creative control from the artists, 
We can't rely on big radio stations that refuse to play certain music because of the anti-establishment lyrics, We shouldn't expect that the only way we're going to get any song recorded is if we pay megabucks to some studio.
It has to be cheap, it has to be genuine, it has to be creative, it needs to be about community and it has to have a real message focused on the concerns of the artists and their conscience.

The 3 songs The Pakehachis perform in this short video, Happy Birthday, Guilty & The Ones God Has Chose were all written and recorded in a tiny room with egg crates on the walls with a single microphone and a basic music editing program, each of them took roughly 24 hours from inception to finished product and it required no technical training, no fees, no producer, no manager, just the inspiration and willingness on the parts of myself and band mate Mikhail to knuckle down and do the work without needing the help or approval of the mainstream music industry.
Mikhail once made the point that he doesn't have that great a stage presence like I do,
I noted that I can't be bothered learning how to play an instrument,
So instead of getting egotistical about our respective talents, we simply use them to compensate for each other while we collaborate, in so doing, we make something together that certainly neither of us could have come up with on our own.

•RECORD EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR JAMS

•PUBLISH THEM!

I'm no expert and I'm no professional, but the way I see it, the world's currently run by professionals, how's that working out for ya?
I'm not a successful artist with a huge following yet and by no means am I alone in this state of being,
However, after a number of years hanging out with artists, I noticed that the vast majority haven't got any recordings of their jams, almost none of their work has been finished to a level they're willing to be proud of & for all intents and purposes in terms of real tangible benefit, most have spent a decade and have literally nothing to show for it.
The main difference being that through only a few years of occasionally hanging out, jamming and making music, we have over 150 unfinished songs,
More than a dozen have been published and we made a music video for our hit single "Happy Birthday"
How much did we pay for studio time? 0
How much professional training did we require? 0
How many times did we need help from someone before we could continue to the next phase? 0
So basically, if you want to be an independent musician, stop thinking you need to be professional, stop thinking you need help, stop believing that you need training,
JUST FUCKING DO IT,
The music IS it's own reward!
